The game play for New Blood is pretty much the same to the Second Opinion except some minor changes such as the ultrasound can be use to move your focus on the screen to the other areas. For new players who are not familiar with the Trauma Center series at all I suggest that you pick up Second Opinion first because you will be finding this game very difficult since it has quite a “steep” learning curve. But for those who have played Second Opinion you’ll be feeling right at home. New Blood offer fun missions for us to tackle but personally, I find the main missions (note: the main mission not the challenges) to be somehow, “easier” than Trauma Center. Even so, this game still delivers the same fun I had with Second Opinion.

Atlus bundled Trauma Center with optimizing NDS handheld. It is a great choice that Atlus really make use of the NDS properly without feeling too goofy. Now your challenge is to operate the victim. Move your stylus to the doctor’s item on both left and right side. It is about getting used to the control then. This game is hard, though. After a while you will be bored by its repeated sequence of gameplay. But somehow Atlus brings sense of creativity in here.

Chronicles of mystery
Simple and interactive, that is the first reaction you feel when starting this game. You will find communicative gameplay. It seems that City Interactive wants to prove its name by optimizing Nintendo DS console. In some parts, you are challenge to blow air through the microphone to clean the dust. You will use your NDS stylus often in order to finish your tasks. Play some puzzles, finish basic mathematics, get out from labyrinth, and so forth. These features, along with its main story, create the atmosphere of being an anthropologist. The chronicle itself is about a novice anthropologist whose teacher is disappeared. She is trying to find her great and professional professor with the help of a master of encrypting manuscripts. At the end, it is revealed that the professor is after some valuable ancient items found in Gozo.
